Eating, Behavioural, and Addictive Patterns
Eating difficulties, addictive behaviours, and repeated behavioural patterns can sometimes become ways of coping with stress, emotional pain, low self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, or feelings of being out of control. These patterns or repetitive habits become difficult to control and may affect one’s physical health, relationships, studies, work, confidence, and daily functioning.
At Centre for Mindful Counselling, we create a compassionate and confidential space where clients can gently explore the emotional, psychological, and behavioural patterns underlying their concerns. Our integrative therapeutic approach consist of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing(MI) and mindfulness- based relapse prevention (MBRP). We help clients recognise their triggers, explore underlying patterns, build healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, and work gradually towards sustainable change including improvements across a broad range of areas of functioning.
Where concerns require medical, psychiatric, nutritional, or specialist multidisciplinary care, we work ethically and recommend appropriate additional professional support.
